Image Processing with AI
The objective of this image processing project with AI is to recognize the digits on an envelope, simulating the decoding of a postal code. The application uses this AI to detect a postal code on a letter through a series of image processing steps.
Implementation
This project provided the opportunity to design an AI from scratch, thereby deepening my knowledge in this field. Developed in C++, the project resulted in the creation of an AI without any dependencies on external libraries and its consequent training. The AI was initially trained using custom code in Java and then re-implemented in C++ for the application.
The image processing involves several steps: detecting the letter, reorienting the letter, detecting the digits, isolating the digits, and finally passing them through the AI for recognition.
